Joel Scilley is a product designer and woodworker.  His company, Audiowood, specializes in handcrafted audio equipment and other home accessories.  Joel studied art, design, and architecture in New York and Europe, including an abroad program with Parsons School of Design in Italy.  After a decade of working in renovation carpentry in the San Francisco Bay Area, he started Audiowood in 2008, and is focused the innovative and sustainable combination of fine woodworking and precision mechanics.  Audiowood is now located in rural Florida, near the state capital of Tallahassee.

Audiowood designs have been featured in The New York Times, California Home and Design, Metropolitan Home, Zink!, Velvet (Italy), and on BoingBoing, Coolhunting, Thrillist, Daily Candy, Notcot, and 1800recycling.
