We thought we were doing the right thing. The popularity of the GameTime! Clocks were overwhelming. There wasn't a single person who thought that moving forward with the Retrofication Experiments was a bad idea.
Little did we know....
It was simple. Modify a Retro to provide the lighting gamers of past, present and future would need for the late nights needed to progress through their respective digital realms.
We cleansed the Retro and prepped it for the upgrades. The procedure went off without a hitch, there wasn't any hint of what was to come. We topped it off with a nice Light Neutralization guard that clipped onto the accompanying 40watt illumination bulb.
Upon it's reactivation, it presented with no abnormal behavior. The Prototype was sitting on the desk of our main system and aiding in the creation of others. Perhaps there was an ulterior motive here....maybe a Retro army to take over? Quite possible. It converted others of it's ilk. It very well may be a side effect from the Retrofication Mods, or the Retro could've been abnormal from the start.
If that's the case, does that mean I zombiefied them via retrofication? Or just empower them with the gear they needed?
I...I barricaded myself in the Dungeon's Communications area. If they learned how to modify each other even further, I'm not going to last long. No one will. I...I think I just heard something...I just hope my cordless Dremel is enough to hold them at bay. I can't remember the last time I put the power pack on the charg*****

Subject: Protoform X-42 Alpha
Projected Upgrade Status: Joystick -> Desklamp
Project Status: Successful Prototyping
Subject is now equipped with a Push Style Activation Switch that is powered by a standard outlet.
The Light Core works best with the currently equipped 40 watt Illumination Bulb, but we don't know the extent of what size wattage it can utilize due to it's rebellion before successful testing.
The Shading Apparatus provides a shielding against the full force of the Illumination Bulb as it clips on securely to the Bulb itself.
